New Jib

My 26x came with a Genoa and just got a new jib from Peak Sails. Unfortunately I put it on furler to find Sunbrella on opposite side as that of Genoa. Now need to wind fuller in opposite direction if I want the Sunbrellla on outside and looks like I need to rotate the cover to not rub. And Genoa will then be wrong if I want to put that on. Is there a standard fuller wind direction for the Mac? Should I have requested a Sunbrella side?

I almost never use my genoa any more. The boat balances better with the working jib, and I can see better under it.
But, as aviro suggested, when you strip off one sail, just unwind and rewind the drum in the other direction. You may have to put a couple of new holes in the furler drum cover to orient the opening to suit both directions, but that's a one-time thing. Assuming it's the FFII furling system, that is.

For future reference, yes you should specify the side for the sunbrella. I am kind of surprised you weren't asked. When I stated checking for my new genoa roll direction was always on the check list.

My 150% Genoa is basicly brand new, Im pretty sure none of the PO's have ever raised it in anger, Im sort of figuring that 110% jib is the best head sail, the Genoa is just so heavy, if the winds are strong enough for such a heavy sail then I probably dont want so much sail out in the first place, and if the winds are so light that I want that much sail out I probably need a lighter sail, bit like the chicken and the egg syndrome.

Agreed - that's why I'm strongly considering a cruising code zero for next year to complement a jib.
