The bottom has never had anything on it. I have read lots about bottom prep but am still confused. Could someone please give me a list of where to start and where to finish. Start .Ășn .... Dewax bottom then what? I will be hauling it to San Carlos Mexico.

Epoxy barrier coat installed as per manufacturers instructions (dewax, sand) then your choice of bottom paint installed as per manufacturers instructions. The hard part is deciding which paint to go with as they all have different attributes.

I sailed San Carlos as a kid with my dad - it was great.

The Interlux site will give you detailed instructions on how to do this.

The hardest part is the sanding. The entire lower hull will need to be blasted or sanded. I used 60 grit on an orbital sander. Followed by cleaner to remove any remaining residue. Then three coats of 2 part epoxy paint and a few coats of anti foul.

Thanks a lot. I ordered the Interprotect 2000 and the Micron CSC. Start tomorrow or the next day with the sanding.
Thx
