I forgot how much a Houdini trick it is to drop trou in the tiny X head when you're Man size, with the door closed. Not knocking any guy who doesn't have a problem with this space size wise. But I used to carry people the size of Roger Macgregor down the stairs with one arm.

Thank God I'm not all that tall @ 5' 8", or I'd wear a hole in the roof & cut up my bald head

What adjustments did u make to box or head to make it & U fit?

I got the spider wheel one and have already flipped the handle to the Port side. & am installing kind of catty corner to let my shoulders fit with door closed. [Size 44 R]

& I may put down a 3/4" starboard floor as it kind of hangs off the "stage" where the old portapotty went. I may include a toilet stand so the admiral's feet can touch the floor when sitting - or maybe we'll both just lean...

What did u guys do & what do u suggest.

I replaced the hard/heavy door with a curtain made of sunbrella having several large vertical pleats. Matching magnets sewn into curtain and screwed inside the fiberglass fore and aft allow curtain to open from either side and auto latch coming or going (so as to speak). Much better. I'm on my 4th year with the Nature's Head and love it.

that's a good idea. Neo also gave me the idea of putting a piano hinge mid door & and that will also work for me.

Anybody ever see the head door on a hunter 26 how it is curved ? I think that is what I'm gonna do ,its almost like 1/4 of a barrel ! That's my biggest issue with interior layout of these boats ,many times I have been tempted to take a saw all to the sink and cabinet in the head area to make more usable space !

If you look inside the cabinet under the sink, you see there may not be a lot to be gained, breaking out the sawzall, but YMMV. All you can fight for in a Mac is inches, pick a direction but that's all you really gain once the fiberglass dust settles.

Roger packed a good amount of potential & dreams into these micro cruisers. For me, it's worth but so much effort to gain the last inch. & I'm quite thankful of our trailer ability which makes up for our size ability. & ability to pack more than fifty horses, make this a "doesn't suck" option to me

I pretty much put the NH in stock and exactly did what you did. I got the spider handle to save a few inches. Not to get too private or gross but when I have to use the Natures Head I simply ask for a bit of privacy and get others up on the deck. I put on the radio and do my business. I am 5 foot 10 and I do not close the door, I can't. Its just too tight inside that space. Once I am all done my business then I "freshen up the cabin" and invite everyone back in. When I say "everyone" its usually just me and the Mrs. The space allotted for the head would have been more then enough for storage but not as a head. For smaller people or kids its great but for a normal size man its like being a magician and crawling inside a box to do a disappearing trick. I hope this helps

This is precisely what I will be doing this spring. I don't have any water hooked up in the head so theoretically I don't even need the sink. However, based on my toilet height, I have determined I only need to cut away below the sink to get a bunch more leg room while sitting.

I'm also thinking of installing a grab bar on the wall to hold on to while lowering yourself, might make the process a tad more elegant

Yeah I was just going to open It up under the sink ,looks like more knee room for taller people ,along with the curved door I build hopefully will make it more usable .
