Prop Size?

Guys,
I know there are countless posts about this but the more I read them the more confused I am. I just had my local boat dealer install a Mercury 60HP motor on my 2011 Mac 26m. On the test run it maxes out around 4200 RPM. I'm not sure what prop I have but does this mean I need to go smaller to get above 5000? Any help will be appreciated. The boat shop is good but this is their 1st time working on a boat like this.
Thanks in advance.

What model, size and pitch is your current prop?

go back a few days and you will see discussion on "new prop test". Mine is Honda 60 2.33 gear ratio went from 13 3/4 X13 prop to 14 X 9 to get from 4300 rpm to 5250 rpm. Look up propeller pitch on google and get a prop education. Still waiting to do another test of the new prop. illness has slowwwed me down. Also check forum advanced search for more prop discussions.

I have a 60hp Mercury Command Thrust with a Mercury Black Max 14" - 10 pitch. The model number is 48-854342A33 and it is designed for that motor. I get just under 20 mph without ballast at 6000rpm. I get about 17mph with ballast in. I tried a Michigan Wheel 14" - 10 pitch and got 17mph with ballast out. If you have the Command Thrust model, formerly the Big Foot, this is the way to go.
