Sailing Video

Post by Don T »

Hello fellow MacGregor folk,
OK, so I've had this video around a while. I sent it to Heath for the exploring page but it didn't get posted.
So here is the You Tube link:

Hope you enjoy it, I love watching it in winter. :D

Very nice, our whole family watched together.

Nice sailing too!

It was nice to see the familiar haunts as well as a few we haven't visited yet.

Thanks. Wow you got the kids to sit through it. You must have some dedicated sailors and sailorettes.

Don thank you
for a great video link.
This only reminds me of the good times had by Linda and myself sailing and sunsets on a :macx:
Leaving home without boat keys and essentials just comes to mind, I'm sure all on the forum can relate to some part of the video to there own adventures.
I myself have been sailing for around 37 years. catamarans to small trailer-ables and now Macs and have embraced moments such as yours here in Australia as shown on your video.
Now sitting back at happy hour on the :macx: with a Red wine and comfortable leg room to enjoy the scenery at waters edge is one of the BEST!!
We have just purchased a small waterproof camera to do videos as you have done to record our good times on the water, and if they come out as half as good as Dons clip I would be happy. :D

Loved the video. We do the same thing on the final leg of the trip, namely inventory what failed or broke. It kind of goes with the territory. When you're cruising the San Juans and Gulf Islands, it's not hard for the plusses to substantially overshadow the problems.

We actually got married on and spent our first honeymoon on Our Mac. I have some video, from my brother's camcorder, in bits and pieces including some sailing. I've been meaning to put it together into a short. We have pics mostly cuz' we didn't own a digital camera or a camcorder at that time. I have our sailing trips chronicled starting in 1998 when we got our first camcorder. Sure is a hoot looking at that old footage.

Thanks for watching
