Ok so I had a ventur 25 and sold it to get my son through school. now im looking for another trailer sailor . I will not go smaller than the 25 I had . I found a 26M its been sitting on the side of a house on the trailer for many years. I would say at least 10. paint is faded not sure if its got a motor to go with it but just looking for a gestimation of price before I go knocking on the door and asking about it . Don't know the specifics yet but like I said just looking for what these powersailors are going for.

$18k without trailer, $20k with trailer. Assuming good motor and mostly stock condition. I've never seen it lower then 18k so if you can get it for 18k with trailer I think that would be a good starting point. That also assumes the sails are still in working state.

IF it has a motor (that runs) and IF its been sitting for 10 years (so the owner isn't using it) and IF the trailer is OK (new tires?) I'd suggest $15K as a starting point. 8)

And the above are all talking points - any buyer is going to address boar/engine/trailer condition.

+1

It's negotiations.

Also, a motor sitting for 10 years is likely to have issues. It may even start up, but still could have issues.

Hope you get it.

Good luck :) You didn't mention if there was a for sale sign or not...if there is , a few weeks before You start a negotiation is too long. I missed a good Mac M here in Texas by one day :!: :!: IMHO.... a "special , Hi there Sir or Mam.... I noticed that old boat next to Your house... trip" , might make all the difference. Hope it's what You want :D . Ron. :macm: Dauntless.

No there is no sign on the boat. I just was going to do like you said . I ve done it time and time again with vintage cars most of the time people are willing to sell. especially if it s been sitting dormant for a long time . Im going to give it a shot most they can do is say no.

Nice looking boat. From the picture, it looks like the blue is totally oxidized or just the lighting. Go for it!

Yes its oxidized, faded, and needs a good cleaning to get all the green off the sides and scum line off the bottom.

Cleaning is easy and instant gratification. You'd be amazed what some compound would do for that oxidization. I have become a huge fan of this Mary Kate on and off bottom cleaner
http://www.amazon.com/MaryKate-On-Off-B ... B0000AXNNA

You wipe this stuff on and wait a minute and hose it off. Scum line comes right off with a gentle wipe. Love this stuff, however it is very caustic and will burn your skin.

Good luck getting that boat.
