Tempus, the image doesn't show up porperly the way you have it coded. You need the actual "jpg" name. So, here's what I've coded for you:

My wife saw that pic and commented how much longer the mast looks. Now she wants me to put a GoPro on my mast!

The great thing about GoPro is the wifi bubble. You can control the camera from the deck while the camera is up there. I also attached the camera to the boat hook and got some good pics and vid. Just experimenting at this stage.

Yes, that angle makes the mast look HUGE. Perspective is a wonderous thing!

Peterix, yes, GoPro + sails is the next step. This just mucking around while on a mooring. Was also thinking of one of those quadcopters + GoPro!

The Admiral bought me a large
Kite for Christmas. I have anticipation of attaching the gopro to the kite and flying it as we are sailing this spring. It has 500 yards of string on it, so as we are sailing around the apostle islands in Wisconsin we will capture both the boat and the islands.... Right now the water is a little too stuff to try, but in a few months hopefully.

That is so cool. You would be able to see where the bears hide on each island. Wish the camera has enough resolution to help detect the swarms of black flies some of the island (and, strangely enough, not all) prevail.

Some of the radio control hobbyists like the 808 #16 v2 camera and or the Mobius for their photography because of the size and weight. The RCGroups website has lots of info on both of these cameras. I don't own either at this point as my flight skills need to improve ALOT before I attach any other equipment to my planes or quads.

I run my gopro up the main halyard. Stupid me didn't put a way to pull it back down because the camera isn't heavy enough to come down. I'm going to play around and see if I can get some better shots this year as soon as it warms up.

I made the same mistake. I didn't realize until it was too late that the weight of the haylard became heavier the higher up the camera went. Duh! Luckily I was able to be creative and got it back down.

My admiral got me a quadcopter for my gopro for Christmas. Pretty sophisticated device that uses GPS and compass to maintain position and direction. Looking forward to warmer weather to use it on the boat this year.
