Fantastic videos! I gotta ask the technical questions. What camera were you using? GoPro? other and what vid editing software? Your sailing locale is hard to beat!

I'm envious of your sailing area! I have to drive a LONG way to get waters clear enough to bother putting the gopro underwater! What do you have? I only have a gopro Hero. Would love the Hero3 with its remote control!!
I've watched a couple already. Enjoyed the dolphins! With the snow/ice storm hitting us right now, I'll be watching all of your videos this weekend!
By the way, good name for your boat! Air Bender.

Hey Doug, can your gopro accept the "backpack"? It allows remote control and video preview via WiFi.
I just happen to have an extra one. My son lost our old gopro in the Atlantic ocean to a wave. So I bought a new gopro and have this backpack thing with no home.

It is a GoPro 2. I just got a GoPro3 Black for my birthday in Aug. They are awesome. I don't really use the Wifi on them though. I point it in a direction and hope I get something good. I always film a lot and rely on the power of numbers. If I take 3,000 pictures, I hope to get 5 good ones. For picture editing, I use Picasa,
http://picasa.google.com/ , it is free and works on my windows system. For the video editing, I use Windows Movie Maker,
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... essentials , which is free as well. Since I used a lot of copy right music in my videos, they wont allow you to watch some of these on a mobile device. I guess so you can use it like an ipod for the music. The whales are arriving now. I hope to get out there and swim with them before the end of the year and get that on film as well.
I only have until April to enjoy Hawaii. The military will move my family, to include "Air Bender", to South Alabama. My goal there is to make a lot of these videos along Key West and the Bahamas. I keep reading and watching tons of youtube videos of people in the Bahamas so fingers crossed.

Thanks for the info. I have got to get a GoPro. Hey being in South Alabama, you ought to consider the Beer Cruise in Pensacola next June. Great group lots of fun. Next years dates are set. Here's the website. It's not updated yet but the dates have been picked.

Russ, I'm interested in your BacPac. Those are usually compatible with the Hero2 and the old Hero like mine. PM me sometime!
Jeff, thanks for the link for the Beer Cruise. It's on my bucket list and has bubbled up as a possible destination for the 2014 summer. Much depends on the dates.
I use windows movie maker like Chopper Pilot. I started messing with an old copy of vegas pro to make the video titles.

Love the part where you say "150 feet? When it's gets down to 80- feet we'll tack" - The entire southern side of Lake Michigan is around 60-70 feet. LOL.

Yep, but we haven't seen a post from Chopper Pilot in almost nine years. Maybe we will see some postings in the future
