The Venture Newport is a 23 and the others are 21, 22, & 23 footers and I saw some where that the 23 is cutter rigged.

The owners manuals on the resources page don't show a 23 footer. I down loaded what is there and did not see ant thing about the cutter rig

Again...a VN what? What size? How about a pic?

your question is vague...."difference than the rest of the ventures"

in terms of what? size, cabin layout, difference in same year models or what?

what are you asking :D

An 83 VN 23 and there is owners manual for the VN 23 Cutter. I'm trying to find out the differences in rigging the cutter vs the sloops.

Ahhh...so it IS a VN23

Differences as in "How-to's" ? Or just the difference as the cutter uses two headsails...

Mine is sloop rigged currently.

There are plenty of pics in my thread

sorry, trying to help but I am a newbie myself....however I have been Frankensteining a VN23 for quite some time

:D

I see

I have learned with my own VN23 that there is no "how to"

Lots of reading, lots of forum advice from members...

But sailing is kinda a "jump all in" thing I am learning

I am doing a lot with mine that is "outside the box" so to speak, but it works for us

Post a link to the ad and other members might chime in with what they think of the boat and whether its a good deal or not

That looks really nice for a typical boat of this variety. It was either well cared-for or a lot of problems have been covered up with paint! The good news is that a cover up job would be at least 50 hours of labor which wouldn't make sense at that price.

My guess is the boat is either on consignment or abandoned and being sold for storage.

I'm right on the edge of recommending a marine survey on this one. Best solution is to get an experienced Board member to look over for price of pizza beer gas .....best place to post that is in main Board.
