Does any one know the brand or model number for the bearings used on the macGregor factory issued aluminium trailer?
I am planning to tow the Mac 26M approx 2500 klms and I want to buy a spare set of bearings locally in Australia.

You can dig through their site to find the replacement bearing information.

But don't worry. The bearings aren't going to need replacement in a mere 2500km. I just pulled a three year old stock trailer 13,200km with no bearing issues. Just grease them as per the instructions on the site and they'll be fine.

If it helps, I contacted a UFP dealer here in the states (Six Roblees) and provided them a serial number Axle ser# A427504 (Thanks Highlander) and they looked it up for me to buy another axle.

I agree with Matt, check the grease and they should last a long time. Factory installed bearing buddy fittings to hold grease.

Dave - very prudent to carry spares. The Mac bearings are run at about 90% of their rated capacity and will go from good to junk in the course of about 50 miles, if they run dry or get dirty.If they are kept lubricated and adjusted, they run a long time, though.

nothing wrong with carrying a few extra bearings with you either, they are cheap, and when you need them you really need them.
