Montgomery Alabama to Key west Florida

[Three Gypsies]

The crew and Gypsy have arrived in Key West !
We left Montgomery Alabama aboard our April 1st and arrived Sept 4 , 2013
We crossed the Gulf of Mexico , doing the short crossing 90 miles , then crossed the state of Florida to the Atlantic and came down on that side . We plan to return on the Gulf side , going up thru the Everglades .
The trip was 1,696 miles . Our Gypsy , with her Honda 50 engine performed perfectly and kept us safe during some horrific storms . At anchor one night we were experiencing 60 mph wind gusts . Another storm nearly capsized us , but due to our stout ship and fearless crew we survived !
