Sail repair.

My sails look pretty old and worn. Stitching is coming out and this past weekend the UV layer on the genoa started coming off.

Has anyone had their sails repaired and if if so what kind of costs are we talking about? I live in Atlanta and don't know of any repair shops locally so I would likely have to send them out somwhere. Does anyone reccomend a good place? I'll probably get new sails this fall but was wondering how cost effective it would be to repair these and have them as backups if needed. If it's going to cost me $500 per sail then it would be better for me to just buy new and put some stitching in these myself to have as backup.

I'm just looking for feedback to try and determine the best direction to go from here. Thanks.

I just had some stitching repaired on my main for $70 by a shop in St. Pete, FL.
he quoted me $300 to replace the UV strip on the Genoa, but I am still on the fence on that one, he seems to think it will last another year before needing replaced so i might hold off and put that $ somewhere else!

Everyone I know who has used "Sail Care" has been more than satisfied with their repair and restoration work. I've had my Harpoon sails done there many years ago and they even replaced the logo... excellent job and they are still serviceable after over 10 years. Ping them and they can give you an estimate.
