Fresh water supply via bottled water?

Hey guys...just musing here. I need to get the water working on my 26X (haven't even checked if the stock soft tank and manual spigot pumps actually work), but then I really don't intend to drink water from the tanks...nor brush my teeth with it...maybe wash my hands with it. I keep an ample supply of bottled water on the boat for drinking, and actually prefer washing my hands with it. So...is there really much use for to even check the stock water supply system?
I guess that's why I haven't done it yet.
I was thinking however, that perhaps it would be nice to have some sort of fixture to hold (say) a 16 oz bottled water upside down and a valve simply screwed into or somehow attached to it. Empty? You pull the water bottle out of the holder, unscrew the valve from it, throw it away, and put a fresh bottle of water back in. Sure sounds clean and sanitary to me. Mounted over the sinks upside down, there would be no need for an electric nor manual water pump...gravity fed (assuming air hole somewhere). I'm thinking one such fixture in the head, and one at the galley.
I suppose I could also use the gallon "milk jug" type water jugs too (even cheaper). Seems like that would be a little heavy and bulky to mount upside down though.
Any thoughts? Has anyone else done anything similar? Now where I might find parts? Just curious...
Cheers,
Dave
