First sail 2013....

....well not really, because we had 3 weeks sailing inthe Keys in Jan-Feb, so this is our official first sail in the Chesapeake for 2013. A really flukey wind day, anywhere from 5 to 20. It was probably 12 to 15 in the video.

nice clip! My tarp is still on and I won't be out for a few weeks yet, these clips keep me going. I might get to a few boat jobs this weekend...and get that winter tarp off.

Well, our season ends around December 15th, and starts around January 15th out here in San Diego. It's more related to the kid's school schedule and the holidays than the weather.

Hey Cuscus, Great video. I am intrigued by your main sheet. I rewound the vid about ten times. Does it run forward of tye boom to the mast and back into the cockpit? Pretty neat! All the rigging is cool. The companionway jib cams are cool. My winches are too far back to do that. It seems the deck was set up differently on all of these boats.

It's a great setup, especially for single handing. The main & jib sheets are right there in front of you and can be handled from the windward side. All the rigging was custom designed by a good friend, who just happens to be a professional sailboat rigger.

I got out in the Harpoon in upstate NY last weekend ...sandwiched in between morning and evening working hours replacing 600 sq FT of roof on the house. Not quite sure how I pulled that off.

Light wind and puffs but any day on the water...

I'm going to have to name of these boats KMac in honour of the gentlemen who turned me on to these great boats...
