Forestay Chainplate cover re bed on 26s?

Forestay Chainplate cover re bed on 26s?

Can I pop this cover off and do this job with the mast standing and the rigging in place?

If it is like the :macx: it's simply riveted in place and takes no tension from the rigging. Drill out rivets, lift , 5200, and re rivet.
