Privacy curtain for the head

I'm ditching the stock portapotty that came with the 26M and went ahead and bought a Travel John to use with wag bags. The problem of course is that there is a ledge in the head and unless you even it out with some material anything besides the Dometic portapotty won't fit. I actually have no problem with that except for the fact that when you use the Travel John you lose privacy. I'd like to install a privacy curtain just aft of the head, but am unsure how to do it. I'm thinking there must be some kind of suction cup product out there but have had no luck searching the internets. Anyone do something like this with their M?

Oops, didn't know about the mod tracker! Got some good ideas from there, but if anyone else wants to chime in that would be great!

I attached a privacy curtain for changing in the front of my :macx: attaching a cord between two eyestraps. If you use a small screw, it will hold in the liner just fine without backing.

i reccomend an enlistment in the army or navy for two or three years. after sitting knee to knee in the latrine every day with seven other guys all taking a dump and farting you lose any need you may have had for any type of privacy. dumping will become a cherished social event and you will appreciate the good company.

You could use a shower curtain Tention rod cut to fit. You could take the two end caps off and replace the metal tube with 3/4 " PVC with the use of a hair dryer to bend the PVC to conform with the curve of the inside of the ceiling..
OR:
Change the swing on the present door to swing out across that "path" and block off the Main Cabin ..

Ha! How right you are. Your comment reminds me of the summer camp I went to as a boy (Camp Tecumseh, Center Harbor, NH), and that my sons also attended in more recent years... their common washroom is called "The Widdow" and toilets have no doors there. As background, every year they divide the camp into 'Blues' and 'Greys' - two teams - that compete against each other in sports all summer long (it's a 7-week camp). So, given that, you might appreciate the humor of this short YouTube...

...and a humorous Christmas Card that was sent by one of the campers...

I still love that dang camp, and I often tie up there when I'm on Lake Winnepesaukee. They have 2.5 miles (MILES!) of lakefront property on that lake. Can you imagine what that's worth?! The camp's nickname is "The Greatest Place on Earth" and they are absolutely right.

Here's my boat, anchored along the camp's waterfront, with one of the camp's water-skiing boats in the background.

Can't help with the curtain, but get some of this stuff....

...or something like it if you use the bags for more than one use and put in a couple capfulls with each use. We get on the average 3 days out of a bag, but your results may vary 8) .

We did have friends on the boat once for 3 days with us and Ruth made...

I was also a Lake Winnepesaukee camper... camp dewit in wolfsboro nh.

being from fla, nobody told me that lake froze solid and they drove a train across the lake during the winter to get the building supplies in for the summer!

& swimming was required 1x/day...

still some great memories...

When they were aboard we had a curtain by us at the V-berth and they had one at the head of the aft berth, but they slept in the cockpit. Also they are Europeans and for the most part they don't have too many hangups about stuff like this and neither do we.

We also learned from that trip that we aren't going out on the water with anyone for a couple days that aren't sailors or boat people. They were ok, but one day would of been enough for them and that had nothing to do with the head :( .

We would never go back to having a separate space for the head. We just need that room too much, but we realize what we do isn't for everyone or probably even most people, but works very well for our needs and I'm sure there are a few others that it would work for,

Number one and number two functions are nothing. Try being on a boat with 5 tweens and 4 periods...one of them her first... :| :| :|

I modified the head door by shimming the hinges about 1/2". The door now swings out against the quarter berth and still has enough room to close in the normal manner.

Great idea! I had already removed the folding door of the head.
