This year we've been trying our hand at fishing.

So where do you store your poles? I wanted to create a mod that would hold our poles off the mast arch or something.

Anyone got a good solution?

I have a great little collapsing pole---each section collapses into the section below it. Gets down to less than a foot long.

We put them on the side of the rear berth. There are some mods on the site where they attached rod holders to the side of the rear berth.

I mount my rods using Du-Bro holders on the ceiling. I have three over the galley area (up to 6 feet long) and one over the table (shorter). I tried mounting with auto emblem/weatherstrip tape but this did not hold very long. Mounted the three using a board to minimize holes in the ceiling.

I also hang my boom over the port side berth - allows us to sit and move around in the cabin when mast is not rigged. I use coupler nuts on existing ceiling/deck hardware to attach eye bolts. For the #10 fittings, need to retap one half of the coupling to UNF thread (from UNC).

For holding the rods while trolling, I have three rod holders - one each on the rear stanchions angled outward and one on the mast support on top. Gives me a good separation when trolling. Also use safety lines to hold the poles if they get bounced out of the holders.

I mounted a unit over the galley. Mounted to the ceiling as close to the Hull as possible. Holds two rods and reels ( decent size salt water rigs)
Out of the way easy access knowing me they must not have been too expensive.. :D 2 S.W. Rods& Reels were from Cabelas bet the holder was too.
