All,

Here are the pics for the interior..... not many Farkles inside (Motorcycle term....'fancy sparkles')

http://www.flickr.com/photos/waynedenni ... 891825756/

Broken Mirror
Bathroom wood-like material is 'ok'. (servicable)
Simple sink.
Under sink is a wiring mess.
110v batt trickle charger
Extra Fuseblock (pic coming)
autohelm wiring
Hole in the boat to send out bilgewater...(near sink water tube)

Seat cushions are ok, material is light color and not of our choice. Servicable for now.

One of the Seating areas has a little storage drop in....(was that original?)

I am dropping it off at the stockton Lake marina this week...
Getting the engine and fuel cell all set up. (Where do people keep theirs usually?)
Rigging setup (Rearstay has a kink....replace)
Running Rerig (Washed all the lines)
New and additional FuseBlocks.

When I was washing it off...I saw some dock damage repairs. Couldnt tell when it was dirty.
Will address when the bottom gets redone...1yr
Mast Raising system looks functional...GREAT!
Since I have an autohelm computer...is it a good idea to get the parts to finish it off..or start with a brand new one?
(3 of 10 priority right now)

Question.
After getting the basics to conform to Minimum sailing gear...

I am looking to do some of the following...any advice on what you would recommend as Valuable/Highest return on investment/appreciation would be helpful to me...what do you think?

1 Relocate Battery to Bow+Battery Box+Add another battery
2 install a wiring loom (+ heatshrink)

3 Add bigger deck hatches to forward berth (2)
- 1 horizontal (Drop in stowage)
- 1 vertical (pole stowage)

4 Rope Locker (Porta Potty area)
5 Rope Locker (Laz area)
6 Fuel Cell storage (Laz area)
7 Good Stereo - Cabin Speakers appear to be really good. (CD/DVD)

Has anybody tried to install Redlights inside their Boat Cabin before? (Like what nicer Semi-Truck interiors use)
If not...they are great to provide light without affecting nightvision.

Thanks to the Forum!

Looks real good!
Still think you got the best deal I ever heard of! Do you have all the storage compartment boards and cushions? How's the trailer?

I did a lot of mods to my 26S. Hopefully all the mods will add some value to the boat, but for the most part, I'm doing the mods for my own pleasure, not so much looking for a return on investment. But when I do a mod I do think about what a new potential owner will think. I always try to do a good job. I think if I paid a professional to do whatever, what kind of work should I expect. If the mods are not done well, you could cause the boat to have less value.

That drop in tub on the port side, believe it or not is meant to be an ice chest. I use it for dry storage, but I plan to improve the insulation and install a Temperess Hatch, with a rubber seal all around, to make it a much more functional ice chest, in addition to the large ice chest I installed in the galley top.

If you like doing mods, you can make your boat much better than the way it is now. I enjoy working on my boat as much as sailing her.

Hi Doug,

This is my 2nd attempt to reply. I was timed out and lost it all. AAARG.

Storage compartment boards: 3 missing or damaged enough to be redone.
Cushions: Usable, 5 yrs of neglect and not use. Wife will OCD on that and have it addressed soon.
Trailer: It is ok. boat is sitting 12" too far back....towed REALLY light, sway and all. Bunks and Axles will get checked out when I take it to the Marina for splash/soak.

I do a lot of projects with wood..(Decking, Fencing, Hay Barn, Horse Barn etc etc.
I want to use Bamboo or a Composite material..anybody ever done that? How does it end up?
Too odd?

Ice Chest?!??! WOW.
I plan on putting in 3 small ice chests...to save on open/close impact. 1 forward, 1 galley, 1 laz. All 12 can coolers/ice chests.

I took a look at your Mods....I believe I will be doing some of the ones you and Sumner have done. Some of my projects will have to fit into what has already been done by the previous owner.
