2001 26X anchor roller

I bumped up against the dock and knocked my bow light off. Looks like the POs had stuck in back on more than once. This was the tipping point to go ahead and put on an anchor roller. I am ordering the BWY anchor roller and will take it on the plane down to Marathon with me next week. Does anybody know what size bolts I should order. The BWY order guy said he could throw some bolts in but didn't know enough about the 2000 X to be able to say what size. If anybody knows I will call him back. If not I can go buy West Marine when I get down there. My goal would be to do some of this work while we are on the water vs in the parking lot so I need to have all my supplies purchased. I am the worlds worst about having to make multiple trips back and forth to the supply house. Thanks Bob

Can't tell you about the length of the bolts, but you are right there is a WM there.
Good luck and have fun,

Bob,
Those bolts are in real a tight spot and can be a PITA to replace. I had to replace mine when I bent the pin that secures the anchor in place. Dont forget a nice set of backing washers and plenty of 5200. It's easily a 3 beer job, good luck! Are you and your Admiral going to make it to JMGT this year or are you "Keys Only" kind of sailor now?

MacGuyver,
What's up!! If the roller is a 3 beer for you it is a case and 2 days for me. Think I will find a shallow spot to anchor and do it on the water so at least we can play some between being crammed in the bow. I am going to search the board and get some ideas from how other did it.
We really do want to do JaxMac since it was so much fun last year. I had planned on pulling the boat back over the 4th but I have gotten enough credit from Delta for giving up a seat that we can get down for free a couple more times this year. One of the benefits of flying into ATL everybody does so collect the credit and jump on somebody elses plane. With that said I am not sure we can bring ourselves to haul it back BUT we really do want to do JaxMac. I will have to explore some options.
You guys need to come down and join us. We can use one boat. There are some cheap places to stay if we want to stay shoreside vs all on the boat.
On another note the Teleflex cables we replaced on my boat last Aug one is almost rusted through. I had the receipt but it burned up when my office burned down in Feb. I am going to buy another cable and then send it in about 9 months later on the warranty. It really went fast. Hope it will last this trip. The bow roller is project enough. I have to get some office work done and have some fun as well.
See ya.

Don't sweat the roller replacement. It is a PITA to get to the bolts but you'll do fine.
I'm sorry to hear about your office but as far as your receipt goes WM can reprint the receipt and issue you the credit all in one stop. The Honda engines and these telefelx cables are a poor fit and a well discussed problem here. Disconnect the motor when able and be sure to allow enough bend in the cable when the motor is raised to alleviate strain on the plastic/metal junction. You should be able to get some decent life out of these cables but when it fails- use the warranty!
From a sailing standpoint living in Atlanta is killing me. I try to get back to Jacksonville as often as possible but it never seems to be enough. Sailing in the Keys sounds great but I'm starting a new job shortly and getting off for the 4th and for Jax Macs is all I can swing at the moment.
Enjoy your trip and (if you still have them) send me the pics from Jax Macs 2010. I'm recreating the groups page for this years event and need as many promo photos as possible. Tell your Admiral we send our best and we hope to see you guys soon.
John
