leak stern

We beached the 26M & experienced a leak in the bilge. Because of the incline, water was up over the water line. Salt water came in at the rudder drain hole at the stern - starboard side.

I don't quite get it, do you mean were the cables go through the stern? I'll have to look at my M26 when I get home. I do get a little water in the center of the aft berth during a heavy rain.

Did you have to wait for the tide to come in to get off the beach?

At least your solar panel was at a good angle to charge your batteries. The Admiral does not look impressed.

Thanks for the heads up Dave, will make sure not to beach on too much of an angle. So how much water got in then?
How did your trip up the Pumicestone passage go?
Somebody asking about solar setups in another thread. Might be time you shared the new setup it looks like you have finished!

Great post to take notice of the angle. When I launched in some mucky water I found the motor well full of junk as it dips down a bit.
