What are these brackets for?

There are some brackets on the stern of my 95

that I have no idea what they are for. I've attached some pics and I look forward to your insite.
All three pics are taken from behind the boat. This first pic shows the bracket hi lighted in red. I believe that three of these brackets somehow work together for some common purpose.
This next pic shows the other side of the stern. The bracket in red in this pic is similar to the one in the previous pic which is simply missing the black tab that this one has.
In this pic, the bracket in question is directly below the bracket in the last picture. I belive that all three work together. Maybe there is a bracket missing adjacent to this one under the one in the first pic? I'll have to check the stern for evidence of a missing bracket.

I'm open to your theories. Also, in the second pic there is a bracket hi lighted in green that I'm also curious about. It is a simple L bracket with a hole in it...any ideas? Flag pole mount?
What do you think?

shanker,
Can you post a wider angle picture, or just one from farther back

The close up's were good, but it may help to also see the placement of all three in just one photo.
At first glance, the third picture looks like a bracket to support something with a vertical pin sticking out of the bottom.

shanker..
On the 3rd picture, I have the same bracket.
I use it to hold the fix point to apply the force over steering bar.
One of the two holes (upper one in pic) I use it to pass the steering cable...
I have no idea of the other pics. ¿Could be a support for flag mast?...

Not sure what it is for, but I use the first bracket to hold the bungie that secures the swim ladder. The second bracket holds the brace for the mast when you have it down and there should be a reciever where the yellowed cover is that secures it with a screw. I think the 3rd has to do with the steering, but I don't have it on my 95

Since Alberta is not tooooo far from Seattle, I will assume that your boat is a Blue Water Yachts boat. Even though I live in South Carolina, I bought my bought from Blue Water Yachts. I drove out and picked it up and then drove back. Well to answer the question. They are fender holders that Blue Water installs on their boats if you get one of their upgrade packages. The second picture shows the tab that keeps the fender lines attached. The mounts come in quite handy when you are out for the day. I keep my fenders under the table so it makes them easy to get at and deploy. I have three fenders. One at the aft corner, one at the forward cockpit and one at just forward of the the mast. The forward fender is black. The other two lines for the fenders are the same length so I know which fenders go where for quick deployment. So there you go.
Another quick story I hope. I was a Navy Reservist. After I did my two weeks on the U.S.S. John C. Stennis, one of our carriers, I went on board the Lewis R. French, a Maine wooden boat. Well the old boats kinda follow each other on their cruises for the summer. As we were leaving on of the harbors for the morning, as always, the sailboats race each other out. I looked at the other schooner that we were racing and noticed her fenders were still deployed. I told our first mate. He grabbed the signal flags, to keep it nostalgic, and started to signal the other ship. His signal to the other ship was to be, "if you boat starts to sink, your fenders will keep you afloat". Our first mate got to fenders and they started scramblin and the other schooner started scramblin to get them aboard. It was pretty funny to hear the first mates talk about it later when we met up again for the lobster boil. Have fun, Tony

Tony is exactly right. Those brackets were installed to store fenders on. When we bought our boat from BWY, Ray Corwin gave us our test ride. He's a delightful retired coastie, and very knowledgable. He had installed these spring loaded clips on the stern of his boat, and I liked the idea of using that stern space to store a pair of fenders. Very handy when getting ready to dock, yet out of the way otherwise. I put a pair of those clip hooks on my boat as well, and have used them ever since. I see from the photos that both clips appear to be broken. There should be a black plastic tab, held closed with a small compression spring. This tab keeps the fender rope from escaping off the hook. I did lose a spring from one of my clips (the plastic tab got pulled too far open, allowing the spring to pop off). I've since replaced that hook, since I was unable to find a source for a new spring. The clips just barely accomodate the thickness of my fender lines. Recently I rigged some short (6 inch long) lines with eye loops out of smaller (1/4 inch I think) line, and they work much better.

Thanks guys,
I actually bought the boat from a gentleman from Washington so the BWY link makes sense. I'll be at the san Jaun Sailing School in April maybe I'll pop in there.
Russ I'm not biting!
Thanks everyone,
Shanker

I put two plastic cleats on the transom for fenders, shoe bag, secure gas can whatever
Always useful.
