I have pretty much decided to upgrade my 2001 :macx: to a new :macm: in the spring. When I purchased the :macx: back in 2001, there were several potential buyers for the boat and thus no room for negotiating discounts as the dealer was selling everything in stock anad taking full price orders on upcoming deliveries. Since so much has changed since then, I was wondering if dealers are offering dicounts, and if so what percent, with the "new boating market" that we are in.

The factory still sells every boat the make, easily. I dont think there will be much. The accessories can be higher margin, though.

8) For sure this selling season , as observed by Me in the Northern New Jersey Area.

New 26M :macm: , have been sold B4 landing... So they are not sitting on the sailboat lot @ All.
I guess the Margin , depends on the dealership being able to carry the $$ for the boats on the floor for any period. Anyway... People are suffering out there, and Just want to have FUN :D

So "Instant Happiness" Mac26M , and bye the way:

Used boats are selling like HotCakes ... In the lower price points. This is a season , where the selling dealers , with popular price sailboats are cleaning out.

Good Luck Shopping

Since they sell EVERY boat they make pretty quickly; there is not to much to negotiate about on the base boat and engine. The options are marked up about 20% - - - so - - - if your negotiating skills are good - - - you MIGHT be able to get 10% off options.

Good Luck (and just buy it)!
