That must be because they have improved on quality control, gone back to Lewmar winches & not sourcing any components from China anymore

I bought mine two yrs ago base price was $23.900.00 CAN. But I was able to swing a deal with Art at Dowsar on a NOV. Sunday afternoon ! pd $19.200.00 Can. plus 20% discount on all up-grades & excessaries
The Can buck was $1.11 US that week so I took advantage of the sittuation !

Materials do go up in cost and with the coming inflation, cost will never stay the same. Our 07 M listed for $54,000.00 when the origional owners bought it. Our boat was a boat show special setup as a Super Cruser with lots of options setup for crusing to Alaska off the boat show floor. We bought it 6 months old for $32,000.00 cash, like new.

When I bought my first Macgregor 26x in 2000 - it was a 2001 model- the base price was 16500$, and that included both sails.......

You still get it cheap. Basic prise in scandinavia (and northern europe) 40239,56 USD.

On top of that comes an engine and a genua, toilet ect.

I payed 42808,95 USD fore a 2 years old whith a 50 hp suzuki and medium equipment...

But hven the ground price goes up, so do the used prising
