Bilge Cooler Idea??? Might it work???

On our '83 Mac 25, I have long planned to install one or two 12 volt computer fans in holes cut into the vee berth "face" of the hull liner, that will draw air from the bilge area into the cabin. My theory is that with the cabin closed up on a hot/humid night, the fans will draw air into the bilge from the liner opening at the keel winch, travel towards the vee berth thru the "water-cooled bilge" (the water is almost always cooler than the air in the boat), causing condensation as the humid air comes into contact with the cool fiberglass which would be handled by the bilge pump, and the fans putting cooler, dehumidified air back into the cabin... I keep our bilge as clean as possible so I don't think there will be much of a smell of any kind... how effective might this idea be????? Looking for comments/suggestions....

Won't work, water temps in FL is 86 degrees during Summer and night temps are 72-76 degrees. You will be drawing hot air in cabin.
I don't know were you are located but if you have humidity the only way to get rid of it is AC or dehumidifyer.
We just turn on fans aimed at the bunks and works fine for summer.

Here on the Great Lakes, the only 86 degree water you might see is discharged from a nuke plant :?

If anything, it sure sounds "COOL" 8)

I suppose it depends on how much you want to cool the air. An evaporative cooler will put out air cooler than the water temperature.

On second thought if the air is already humid the evaporative effect won't be much....
