We leave in 4 days. I dug Le Zephyr out of the snow, spread ice in the driveway to melt the ice and used the axe to break the big ice packs down . I removed the tent garage and hooked the Buick to the trailer and pulled Le Zephyr out . I will be bringing Le Zephyr to the garage for trailer maintenance and 1 night of caulking and general waterproofing and various mods and boat maintenance activities I can not do at home tomorrow.

Bertram,

Be safe :!:

You may not be past the snow until you're in Virginia. Down here in Philly, we are getting another 6" to 18". By Saturday, we expect 12" on the ground.

Please keep us posted every chance u get, between the beer and seafood, and naps, and swimming and exploring and...well all that stuff :) Would like to know problem areas, situations as well as the good times, what worked and what didn't, what you needed and forgot as well as what you take and don't need...you know for all for us who dream of following in your footsteps. I have read much and learned from others accounts but am looking forward to hearing yours. 8) Soooooooooo envious :!:

Well I wasn't going to tell but as I was pulling the boat away from the house the port trailer tire got hung up on a hump of snow and the trailer slid to starboard just enough for the starboard goalpost on the trailer to rip the wheel off the new outdoor water faucet outlet I replaced this spring(after years of suffering the leaky original ) on the side of the house. I don't mind as long as I didn't damage the boat. :D :D ..it's newer than the house :? .

Hi Quebec1

As I am a new 26x owner, you are beginning a journey that my admiral and I are hoping to duplicate in a few years to come. I wish you all the best and look forward to your posts.

Thanks for representing the MacGregor and Canadian Nation in the Bahamus.

Regards

Mike

Bertrand,

Safe journey and fair winds.

Do me a favor and when you pass through the I-95/I-295 intersection on the South side of Jacksonville give your horn a quick toot. That will be your closest approach to König (about 9.5 miles to the West on Jacksonville Naval Air Station) and he will appreciate the "shout out". I am sure he is lonely and missing me. I know I miss him. And yes, despite what others may say, König is a "he". If it was a "she" I would never be able to get it to do anything I wanted to do.

Have fun. Looking forward to reading about your adventures.

Cheers,
Jim
