Many "newbies" and Mac owners often wonder about vacationing in their Mac, length of trips, provisions needed, and generally what can be expected.
Here's a fine complete thorough documentation written by Mike and Sandy for two folks, serious about a fun vacation on their MacGregor. The topic records the necessary provisions for an extended trip (toward the end of the log entries).

NOTE: I realize I posted this in another thread, but it could get overlooked if not the principle topic.
This is worth the read ... if you own a Mac, plan to get a Mac, need a vacation, or just like boats.
And, check out the pics !
Try this with your MacGregor...

Louis, Thank you very much for the link. I can only dream since I don't have the available free time in my life to do what they did so at least I can experience a little of it through their writings. Nice they included videos too. Bob

This is a well writen adventure of a Mac X. I only got to March 27th and skiped to the bottom , will read the rest later on. This full detail cruise covers all the adventure from WA. to Mexico, Baha. provision, equipment ,problems, and all other things you can expect on a long cruise.
I thank Mike and Sandy for such a detail description of their cruise.

Re: Try this with your MacGregor...
Their Baja trip is one that I would like to do in @ 5 years when kids are in low teens.I've kayaked and fished in some majestic spots such as Juncalito(somewhere near Bay of Conception)doesnt show up on all maps.Had a 6 foot shark pass under my yak while solo fishing near a small Island about 3/4 mile out. When snorkeling after that I would lay on yak and just stick head into water with mask/snorkel.Caught a Mexican Goatfish(looked like a catfish, wife made it into cebiche that night.Caught that one at Santispac. This was the first place I ever saw a sailboat anchored out with people living on it.Gears in head started turning.Sometimes the water there looks like the bahamas.Beautiful coves @ Mulege also.Mexican spearfisherman surprised me in deep water far out and just popped up!He handed me a whole octopus.I used some
of it for bait(triggerfish after triggerfish) and Wife and I ate the rest Campechana style.Soaked in lime juice with onion, tomato etc...
