Ahoy,
I am now a proud owner of mac 26m. I am going to be using this boat, primarily in the lake of Constance. I am trying to put a mercury F60 ELPT EFI engine on this. The local dealer does not have experience on the prop size. Mercury Marine suggested to try a 12.5" 8 pitch or a 12.5' 8 pitch "cup" prop.
Could I please ask for feedback on your experiences?
Regards,

A quick look on the net says this might be a 4 stroke 60 HP Mercury with the big foot????? But Mercury doesnt list that model on its site. If Its a Big Foot I have a 14" x 10 pitch prop others have 11 pitch.... if its not the big foot do a general Prop Size search on this site and you will find a lot of reading material ....

I forgot to mention that this is a normal regular F60. It is not a bigfoot. I wanted one, but have not been able to get a bigfoot in lake of Constance area, yet.

Hi there, is this lake Constance in Austria? I think that your dealer is on the right track although the 8 pitch might be a littler extreme. I have a F50 have the same prop only in a 9degree pitch and it works great. Cheers

If the above means you haven't bought yet, DONT ! Look till you find a big foot on something! You'll be a LOT Happier in the end. If that's out of the question....... then its as one posted has suggested I guess ....smaller prop with 9 degrees of pitch.emailnomad66 wrote:I forgot to mention that this is a normal regular F60. No matter what your needs are, slow maneuvering or get up and go....... a big foot does it all better. But sad to hear, that may not be available .
