Last month when I was sailing, I was using the jib cars on the cabin top. The wind was a little stiff so we changed to the genoa cars to control the jib. The boat stabilized and sailed much better with the wider angle we were able to give the jib. All I have is a 100% jib for a head sail. Do any of you all use the genoa cars with the jib? Or is everyone using a genoa sail?

Jib cars
I use the standard jib cars with the factory jib on my M. Haven't noticed any performance issues. In heavy weather, I notice a performance improvement when I move them back and put more twist in the sails.
