Storing on a Boat Lift?

Has anyone heard of storing a Mac on an in-water boat lift? I've searched the forum, but no hits.

What would be some of your concerns? Slip is located on Lake Norman, north of Charlotte, NC. Lift is either Econolift's 45A (4500 lb capacity) or 65A (6500 lb capacity). http://www.econolift.com/products.html

Thanks-
Brandon

I've always thought a lift or float would be an ideal way to store my Mac if I had a slip. Just remember to raise your fins and engine. Some have expressed concern with constant motion putting stress on the rigging, perhaps you could find those posts and take some advice there. Also, you might look at the trailer to determine where to place the supports, the stock trailer is built to support the boat correctly.

There are more, but I am on the road and just came up with these in a quick search.

We started storing Compromise on our ICW lift near Beaufort, NC so we could fix the trailer.

We usually keep it on the trailer at Jordan Lake for wakeboarding and autopilot testing.

I really do not care for bottom paint hassels on our boat.

So far no problems.
