Holy cow what a ride yesterday. 20mph winds and waves. Had the main reefed to the first reef and the storm jib up. Love it! The capabilities of that boat continues to surprise me.

Only problem is that I had to put on rain gear. It sure gets wet back there! :D

By the way, we sailed after dark. My son rode up and down on the bow holding onto the pulpit with his feet dangling in the water as the waves splashed on either side of him. The sensory input was something to behold. Stars, night, city lights waves, wind and such.

Mark, I can't say enough obout the advantages of having a dodger. I can leave the hatch cover open all the time! It's nice to be able to stand up in the cabin when working around the galley. You get shelfs on both sides of the hatch to stash things. With the optional curtains we never deal with the companionway cover except when we've left our boat. The curtains seal out the elements well enough that our little Wallas heater, heats the whole area up!
