6amp alternator

bought a 1991 M26c with a 9.9 Honda with a 6amp alt. Still trying to get the paperwork to see what features and all both have. Have had her out for long weekends already, the battery is working fine, I normally just plug in a trickle charger with a 'auto-stop' on it the day before we leave.

At what RPMs/Throttle Speed do I need to have the motor to get m' 6amps per hour?

Tips? Advice? And please talk to me like I'm a 1st grader so I can understand! :) Thankee to all.

The way I see it, the 6-amp alternator is more for running nav lights rather then charging a battery. I have a 6 amp plug in charger and it takes two days to charge a dead battery. I don't think you're going to running your motor that long. However if you do drain your batteries you can still start the motor so you have lights to get home after dark.
