Pedestal cover - 26M

Another thing I am seeking:

Has anyone seen sunbrella covers designed for the size/shape of the 26M pedestal/wheel/outboard controls? I have tried wrapping it with a tarp and looked at things like BBQ grill covers - but none of them have a very "shipshape" appearance.

Thanks,

Contact BWY. Ray has one on his M.

Contact your local marine canvas shop. When I changed the size of the wheel on my 26x, the old pedestal cover would no longer fit. I contacted a canvas shop, and for $150, they made a custom cover for my pedestal. This is a California price (everything costs more in California), so you may actually pay more or less than I did, depending on where you live.

Hello,

I use an outboard motor cover 150hp+ to cover my pedestal. It is a canvas material not the plastic kind. I purchased it at West Marine for around 40 bucks. It is grey and looks pretty good. Give it a try.

Do you still have your old X cover? Maybe you could sell it to him for a good price. I believe that it will fit the M. Just a thought.

Yep. Still have it. Anyone out there want to make an offer? I'll ship anywhere in the U.S. as part of the deal. International, you'll need to help with the shipping.

I had a custom cover with zipper made for $120. It also covers the cockpit table (in the down position) and custom drink holders. It has a specially made hole in it which will accomodate the mast crutch and/or mainsheet tackle. You can see the hole in this picture, zipper is out of sight to the front.

I have received one bid for my spare cover. Anyone else interested? Current bid is $30.

I have some pictures somewhere. I'll dig one out and post it.

Dimitri,

I couldn't help but notice how nice and smooth your tie-down strap is on your boat. Might I suggest that you give it a full twist on each side. This will stop the strap from vibrating and wearing on your jelcoat while you are going down the highway. 8)
