Guessing Centreboard Depth

Does anyone know where to mark the centreboard line in relation to how much board is down ?
Due to the configuration it does not follow that half line let out equals half board down and at the moment I'm just making a guess at it. Somebody did post this Info a while back but I'm dang'd if I can find it on this site, if anyone can help then that would be appreciated.

Just put the board up and measure and mark going down.
I just measure by arms length.

Let CB line out so board is fully down and clamp in cleat, use permanent marker to "paint" a 1-2inch RED mark around the line before the jamming cleat.
Pull CB up so the board is fully home jam in cleat, mark the line with a BLACK line as per above.
Then either measure or by eye, mark mid-point with a RED/BLACK line around rope, then what I do is put a smaller RED line between centre mark and the all down RED mark for a 3/4 down mark and similarly a smaller BLACK mark between mid point and BLACK CB fully up mark for a 1/4 down CB.
Now all you need to look at, to know where your CB is below the hull is the CB rope and which mark is below the cleat.
I have never needed to know to the inch the depth of CB below the boat but Up-1/4-1/2-3/4-All down is more then enough info usually.
Cheers

I had the same question last month...
Tahoe Jack had the gouge...

Then I used a sharpie to mark my CB line.
