I still could use some help. The rudder and tiller were missing from the 1972 Venture 222 I inherited. I plan on building my own, but am not sure of size, or the hardware availability. The boat still has the hardware that is mounted on the boat, but those pieces mounted on the rudder are gone.
If anyone could send the dimensions/drawings/pictures, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think it best to restore an original
v222 rudder or find a beat up one to
fix up, since buying Idasailor means that
your keeping the boat long term.
It would not repay itself upon sale of
yoour boat.
just plain economics.

Here are some dimensions from my 1972 V222. My rudder is original from MacGregor, made out of solid wood.
Tiller length: 36"L X 2 5/8"H (at base) X 1 1/2" Thick
Head Board: 37"OAL X 11"+W (at bottom) X 1 1/2" Thick
Blade: 37 5/8"OAL X 11 9/16"W X 1 1/2" Thick
