Well at last

Here is some pic's of rogers new mac 26m furler it has a 5" open furling drum slightly bigger than the 4 1/2' closed drum on the CDI & uses your jib halyard it does not use an internal halyard although one could be added, with using your own jib halyard sail changes would be faster I think, I like this better than the CDI set-up although with me going with two furlers I don't have the hassle of having to change the head sails !

K9Kampers

Three furlers , 4 headsails , cutter rigged with a bowsprit , dual spreaders & three sets of shrouds with masthead rig just to start with !

Something looks different about that new MacFurler...looks to me like it attaches directly to the forestay tang/chainplate and not a turnbuckle as if it is the turnbuckle. Does it have the forestay wire already inside the foil and installed/attached to the drum somehow so that it in effect replaces a standard forestay?. Neat trick if it does. It still leaves that other hole in the tang free, used to be able to attache the spare jib halyard there on the old CDI's, now it is free for another use. Any suggestions?

Terry

Their is a turnbuckle it is inside the furling drum just like the CDI
& yes it comes with its own forestay
