I just use Alcohol stove in my :macm:

Interesting test: I used the alcohol stove and CLOSED all hatches. A CO-alarm beeped after a very small time. With open hatch the concentration was low.

Very interesting. Would you mind posting a pic of the fuel you use?

Boat just think of it as having gas heating unit in the bilge free of charge just waiting on ur source of ignition when required instant heat in a flash on those days when u need it or not !

A good sniffer alarm is the only way to go " a marine unit" not one of those battery house hold one,s , remember it must b ignition protected & ur dog do,nt cut the mustard :D
u can also go the cheap way buy a little bird cage & put a little canary in it left in the aft berth & when it falls off it,s perch u know it,s time to evacuate the boat
or if u think u may have a gas leak just light up a candle & start lookin for the source of the leak u should find it pretty quick I,m sure :P

What's wrong with using the lit candle leak detection method? Dog don't cut the mustard? Is that the same as cutting the cheese? :D

You started out all technical, then shifted to stand up. Always a treat! :D

You may have a point. Candle in the bilge would burn off excess vapors. Brilliant!!! :) :( :o :?

Interesting thought Russ. Burn it off before it accumulates... Not sure it'll work, but hold my beer and watch this! :D

Running my AC sporadically. Short sleeve Tshirt weather, here in LA (lower Alabama). How are things in Bozeman?

Well, given that it says “clean burning fuel for marine stoves” on the bloody label, I think you’re probably good to go. :)

Okay, well that's good to know. So this is the stuff that is going to blow up the boat.

Would it be better to use the stuff that Highlander drinks? (might be safer). Although, i would not eat any mustard at Highlanders house.

Well another option is to use a heat gun & if u start to get small flames coming from the red hot coils in the tip just keep going in that direction & as the flames get bigger then u know u r getting closer too the source of the leak just make sure u have a long enough extension cord would,nt want u to only git half the job done ! :) .
No hydro N/P do the same thing using one of those butane BBQ lighters :)
but we all know the candle is the way to go if u know for sure u r going to heaven then the candle light will show u the path to go :| , on the other hand if u r going the other way like I will B :? then likely all u need is a match stick to open the gates to hull ?
Just thought I,d mix up a wee bit of tech with some more skillful stand-up Geez u guy,s should b paying me for all this entertainment :P :D :D :D

J 8)
PS I already tried the match stick method was an exhilarating hot trip but when I got there  I was told they were full so I,m back ! but my Butt was on fire all the way back & my walnuts r now roasted just like my wiener , Mustard anyone ! :o
