Well put starscream. I've never been one for all inclusive, and we 'vacation' like we're cruising, no plan, no bookings, everything we need in a backpack and go and do whatever we feel like. People call us crazy sometimes but we've always gone further, seen more and had a more fulfilling experience than friends in resorts. If we don't like where we are, we simply leave and find somewhere else that works, not far off from pulling anchor and finding somewhere else to drop the hook :)

I could not agree more about avoiding all inclusive resorts. That is why we enjoy cruising so much. Instead of being at one location, our hotel goes to a new country everyday. When we arrive, we can do whatever we wish, or, nothing at all.

Not being someone who can just sit on a beach, the admiral and I go for active adventures. This trip we snorkel'd, zip lined, hiked, kayaked, etc.. Each day in a different country. 8)

We have cruised the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Singapore, Malaysia, & Thailand. It's a little hard to do all of those places in your own Mac. we do make good attempts to meet up with board members wherever we go, and have met, and made friends in foreign lands.

These are pictures from our latest adventure (Dec. 24-Jan. 2).

One can only post three pictures, so consider this as the fourth from the above post. :) Image

We old folks don't just sit on a beach and chill.

Very nice. If you ever take a SE Alaska cruise be sure to let me know you're coming. There are zip lines and kayaking but the surfing, snorkelling and beach life can be a little on the cool side :D but the wildlife and scenery tend to make up for those shortcomings.

Nice pics Ray :)
I still regret when we couldn't meetup that time in the Summer, when you came a callin but I was 75 mis out East, camping & gigging :P `

Meeting fellow MacGer's is great. Adventure vacations with memories is great. All inclusives with plenty of Rum drinks are great. But ultimately I agree with Starscream: any accomplishment / adventure on my Mac is Priceless 8)

It's great looking at the sunset Mac pics. It's great planning the next MAC ADVENTURES. But Tom Petty once said "The waiting is the hardest part"

I'm recovering from right rotator cuff surgery on my dominant arm :P

I'm thankful the surgery seems to have gone well -I'll tell you for sure when I can pick my nose

But I'd be insane 1 week post op if not for this site & youz guyz :)

& your pics. We just had +6" of snow & the admiral took care of business while I could do no more than supervise - & appreciate how lucky I am...

Gazmn,

I am retiring February, 28. I am sure we will meet up this summer.

Rotator Cuff surgery needs a good six month recuperation, don't push it.

Autopilot taking us home at the end of a day on the reefs at Key Largo, pretty much day for day last year. I retired at 55 and I can tell you I have been happier ever since. Started a language school a few months ago and am presently looking for English speaking people who would like to teach English to business people by Skype and FaceTime. I can pay 20$ an hour.
