The Engel specs are pretty clear... it draws 2.7A. They "average" it at a 25% duty cycle for refrigeration as 0.7A and at 93% duty cycle for freezer use as 2.5A. As a frig, multiply 0.7A X 24 hours for about 17AH per day... on a MILD day... maybe twice that on a hot one.

If we ASSuME the Waeco is 45 watts/12V=3.75A when the compressor is on, then we could multiply that by .25 and 24 hours to get 22.5AH per day on a mild day. So you're looking at 5.5 to 11 or more amp-hours difference between the two.

That's PROBABLY a reasonable assumption.

whoops..........I had a typo last submission: I MEANT to say that the Waeco advertises 45 WATTS (not amps as I put in the post). I'm glad you caught that in your calculations, Moe
