With 34 gallons you will be able to go
almost twice as far - it not quite doubles your fuel capacity - it's another 40% - that's a lot.

About 4mpg at full throttle with an etec 90. Give or take.
I cruise with two 9 gal tanks, plus another 6 gal in a portable can under the captain's seat. That could get me over 60 miles before I need to go to the portable tank and throttle back. 60 miles at full throttle is too close to work for my taste. After an hour at wot it's time to be somewhere.
Actually that big tank that Boat found won't work for the X. I still lift and shove my tanks into the alcoves under the seats. I have to take the caps off to get them in there, and be careful not to spill. I usually only put about 6 gal in the tank to make them possible to carry on board.

@ $380.00 us a fuel tank I,ll stick with my 4 x 6 1/2 Gal portable marine fuel tanks as most of the time I usually only fill 2 at a time for local sailing , all 4 for cruising so if the wind & or weather decides not to co-operate N/P I got a 75HP Merc 4 stroke that,ll kick-ass if needed or great for extended cruising & tides & or currents become less of an Issue if u r running a little behind schedule & have the HP to run against them if u don,t mind burning up the extra fuel , the weather , tides & currents still have to be given respect as the only advantage a big eng. will give u if caught out in big swells is having the HP to get u up & over the big swells as u will not be running any more than hull speed @ best !
If I was going on an extended cruise where I needed that kinda fuel range it,s a lot cheaper just to buy a couple of 25ltr portable fuel cans & use my portable electric fuel transfer pump to transfer the fuel , this is not something u r going to be doing on a reg basis so why tie -up all that usable space all the time

What year is your 75 etec? How many hours do you have on it?

Just saw this thread... I have had an e-tech 90 on my 26m for about 7 1/2 years. Runs great - only problems were occasional water in tank... additive helped. Very fast and smooth. Lots of hours on it. Hope this helps.
