I stopped my effort to legalize a motor with more than 50 hp.
I got a offer of 2.500 EUR for a post construction assessment (PCA). But for the test drive the motor needs to be at the boat... It was not sure that my :macm: would really pass this test.

So I did the easy way:
Yamaha sells their F 70 AETL as a F 40 GETL in Italy (40 hp limit, if you have no driving licence). There is just a plate to remove in the intake. No need to change or reprogramming the ECU. Check the bills of material if you don´t believe me.

Bodenseezulassung was no problem.
I am happy,
Rainer
Does the F 40 GETL keep the F70s lower leg with larger gear case to swing K-series props? If not I would get the FT60 same agains as the F70 with 2 less valves per cylinder but has the larger gear box so can swing the K-series props. On an :macm: I would get the Dual Thrust 14x11.

I have just ordered a FT60 with a Dual Thrust 14x11 to replace my dead E-tec.
