It has been 22 years since my last math class I took in college so I don't know all about formulas but I do believe in the KISS concept. Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) and I don't know of a better way of keeping it simple then pictures. Proof is in the pudding, pictures are worth a thousand words whatever saying you want to use to describe the picture below which is the results of me using two headsails on a 26X allowing me to sail at a beat not just a close reach I don't care, but you can't deny it really happened.Image

I have a "M" but this mod worked for me.....not sure if it will work ona X...
I installed these stantion fairleads so that I can run my jib line thru the pulley's on the tracks so that I can sail a little tighter to the wind .....it was worth the investment....she sailed signifigantly better with this set up ...pointed a lot better....who ever uses the EZCleat I highly recommend it....

M.T. How does this setup make you sail closer? The jib car is still the only thing controlling the sheeting angle, and from what I'm seeing in the picture, the jib wasn't sheeted very tightly, more like for close reach or beam. Don't intend to offend. Just discussing.

I mentioned this earlier in another post , you could add another set of genny tracks on top off the sliding hatch white plastic strip retainer this set up would let you sheet your jib sheets in tighter

Ok i give...
You still can only sheet in the genny to just outboard of the shrouds where the 100% main can be sheeted inboard of the shrouds to the jib tracks...
How does the fairlead help?
