Re: How to upgrade to LED cabin lights ?
I can verify that the Walmart solar lights would not be legal to use as an anchor light. I cannot see them from across the bay let alone at two miles
But I do have two of them that fit/slide nicely into 18" lengths of pvc that are spray painted black and attached to my rear railing. They provide a little light in the cockpit at night and really look nice as the boat sits in her slip. I have had a lot of comments on them.

Just an FYI.
I haven't read all the replies ( as there is a great deal of redundance and I have a short attention span ) so it may have already been noted.
"The indicator lights for the power switches on my "M" each draw approximately 220ma. "
so , if you have an anchor light or steaming light which is LED based , and ( like mine ) draws 160ma; You will use more power to light the panel lamp than the mast lamp.

The running lights/steaming lights use 12volt 44mm festoon bulb. I replaced all of mine. New ones are very bright and draw next to nothing.AlaskaMan wrote:I've got the superbright LED's for the cabin, how bout the model to replace the exterior lights?
