Kevin:

Really do enjoy your posts and your outlook on life appears right up my alley. No offense with the "uncle" bit... none is intended...I think you and I in closer proximaty would get along just fine...It's just I love your moustashe...it something I could never wear. It makes you look "unclelyish" so you you will always be "Uncle McLemore" to me.

Best regards!!!!

I expect you're right, mssydnie. BTW, the admiral come from up your way, sort-of - she's from Kalamazoo, and her parents & brother still live there.

And the moustache is in keeping with the "I don't give a damn what folks think of me" attitude. Wife likes it. It stays. Simple. :)

Cheers!

Now that's an attitude I can relate to. I don't much give a damn even what the wife thinks about how I look. It's one of the few benefits of getting old. One thing I've learned about sailing is, you are going to look like an idiot pretty regularly, no matter how much experience you have. The trick is to look distinguished as you screw up. Now you take a look at Kevin. No matter how Kevin screws up, he still looks distinguished doing it, as though he were an expert at it (no offense, Kevin). I have a friend who's been sailing for 30 years who was asked by Dodge Morgan to skipper his boat in a regatta in Boston (If you don't know who Dodge Morgan is, google him.) Dodge told my friend the boat was tender, so be careful. My friend flipped Dodge Morgans boat before he even got out of the harbor, in front of god and everybody. The way I look at it, no matter how bad I screw up, I'll look like an expert doing it and my friend has still got it beat!
