We've got a Raymarine sportpilot on our 26X ....I installed it between the wheel and steering shaft. It's probably not designed for a sailing vessel but does the job really well.It has a stalk mounted on/off switch and incorperates a sensitivity dial.It has GPS inputs which we haven't done as yet.The beauty of this device is even on you can still steer manually and as soon as you let go of the wheel it continues on that heading. It reacts to gusts rather than anticipating but that's to be expected. And as we only have 15hp on the back the use of this while motoring is quite safe.
However the use of a tiller pilot is something I considered as originally I was going to convert our boat to tiller steering to free up cockpit space and as all sailing I had done was using a tiller......still have to think at times about wheel V's tiller input to gusts and small boat movements

Is this still working good for you? Anything to add after 3 years of use?
