Thats the obvious (now that it is stated) solution to the furler flop I posted above....that might rank up there with learning to rig the main halyard blocks backwards as one of those great KISS posts....

:macm: :D Gee you old salts, I only bought my 26M from Bill at B4S in August 2006. The first thing I did was take one of those biker wallets with the chain on and took the snap shackle off. Put it on the forward safety line. Bingo, no more wrestling with the spreaders. I dont ride the bike much these days so dont need the wallet. After buying the 26M Ive got no $$$$$s so dont need a wallet either. It was a free shackle though. Safe sailing to all you SALTS.

I use Bill's procedure. Although its sometimes difficult, it works everytime if the deck is cleared off from people and stuff (you know, STUFF) :macm:
