Once my young ladies are off on their own wings, the Admiral and I would like to go for one of the 2003-04 model

with that big open cabin down below....
Thats why I keep posting about how slow they are ....gotta keep that price down....

The '03-'04

do not have those nice venier plastic wood frames around the windows. The seats are lower because the floor in the newer models is higher. You can mount the pottie on the floor in the older M and there is more room to enter the aft berth. The '03-'04 is more voluminous below but also does not have that new cool pedestal the new ones have. The '03 has the two piece galley table whereas the '04 has the one piece table. Some of the '03 models (mine) have the binnacle/pedestal mast crutch whereas the '04 has the transom mounted arch crutch. The '04 has the raised hump on the hold under the companionway ladder to put the batteries there but the '03 is level and has three rungs on the ladder. Since I do not have my batteries there I was able to mount the autohelm fluxgate compass right below the bottom ladder rung but on the inside facing aft right down at the bilge level but amidships. Works well there as it is between 1/3 & 1/2 the distance from the stern along the waterline where they recommend it. There are little nuances and differences between the M models, be sure to examine them all.
