ssichler - I'm going to be launching at 9:45 am for a daysail (power to Malibu, then out into the Channel, and broad reach back) if anyone wants to accompany. My Dad and a friend are coming, unfortunately Diane will be roasting in Phoenix on business. Are you still bringing the party size grill? If so I won't bring my little Weber.

Mike, I've got that $expensive$ Solas prop on to test, now that it's been cupped . . . . .

Looks like Molly and I will be down there this weekend. We have family in town that want some beach time, so we will try to stay in a guest slip Friday and Saturday nights. Probably won't do any sailing, just need a place for everyone to sleep, might as well use the boat...

See you guys down there...

It was good to see all you guys again. Sorry we couldn't hang out more. Don't get to see the family from Colorado very often... I saw several of you out there sailing from the vantage point of Venice Beach and it looked awesome.

Good to see you guys on Saturday and put some faces with names.

Hopefully we can have a good turn out for 9/30 Lobster opening in Catalina and do even more Mac bonding.

well the Bbq get together turned out nice. we all were able to get slips.
and It was a kick back do your own thing type weekend.
I was very tired Sat. and wasnt up to do much. But It was good to see Scott and Marlo, rick and molly, and Mark again as I dont see them much any more. Phil (sailfish) and some of my power boat friends that came were able to go see the pirates of the car. Ship located now in Redondo beach. The winds were absolutely perfect for sailing. Sat I stayed in my boat and napped awhile as everyone went out. Sunday I went out and
took my power boat friends, we had a awsome sail and hooked up with Scott and Marlo. We were sort of racing each other. and sliced right through an organized sailing race, right before they started. I believe we held the race up a few min. as we went through thier course. I think they were just so impressed with the two Macs under full sail screaming through that they watched us with envy.
I was the BBQ MAN on my boat and cooked up some great raw burgers for three boats. As the george foreman BBQ is out of action for awhile
my little cheap camping BBQ was pressed into service. It did a bad job.
I took alot of heat from the hungry friends and fam. about the not so well cooked burgers. But was able to get even the next day when racing Scott and Marlo. I barked orders to the crew and was ready to toss anyone overboard that messed up.

I think getting together like this is better than an organized thing.
By setting a eating time then everyone does thier own thing, or does it together works best. Mark had his Dad with him and wanted to test his new prop. I was dead tired and wanted to nap, Scott and Marlo wanted to sail sail sail, Phil's daughter wanted to see the pirate ship, so did the people in the power boat I was with. Rick and Molly had Fam. with small kids and wanted to spend the day at the beach. But we all got together later and It was great.
I also was able to see Jamie Scott 2's wife who I havent seen for awhile and was able to tease her a little. Shes very good at giving back more than she gets. (great person) And my new buddy Scott 2 was fun to be around as usual.

Thanks Scott 2 for starting this. I hope when we get to Catalina all of you
go. plus more. We didnt have any x guys come this time but maybe next time. Im still going to lob feast. but now im getting ready for my yuma trip.
That reminds me K9 Ill get back to you from the wonderfull PM you sent me. I didnt want to just send a little note, so Ill talk to you when I have a little more time.

Keep your powder dry Mike

That was me powering full speed to Malibu at 10:15 am. I hope that we get a chance to hang out at Scott's Big Bear Lake extravaganza next month.

Hey Mike I hope that I didn't wear out my welcome with your wife, after she fed me and we drank all your wine while you went back to work!

well theres a trip to catalina coming up one post down.

wanna go?

and if you see Inmon let him know ok. But because Roger has snubbed us the last few times if he wants to meet us in Catalina he will have to fly in two cases of live main lobsters to join us.
