Homeland Security
Folks,
Ok you win. Homeland Security is interested in only one thing ...spending all the money we can get our hands on to buy all the toys we can buy to infringe on your right to happiness. We enjoy riding on a vessel with big guns (60mm 0r 60 cal) to attempt to scare you into compliance. We make up our own rules and enforce what we want. We want to know everything about you , what you do , where you come from ect. only for one reason and that is to feed our own nosey minds.
Now I must say that I am sorry for that nasty run of words. If we all take the time and with an open mind attempt to understand what we are attempting to accomplish is a safer homeland. Sure, it might seem at times far fetched what we ask or do but we DO NOT make the laws we only enforce them. Our elected officials make the laws on our behalf and are our voice in DC. They make the laws the citizens want made.Our laws go through a process before and after they are made. They are also put in the Federal Register before they are put into effect or become a law to enforce. Anyone who has a problem or wants the law not passed has the right to make it known by responding to the Federal Register (congress senate ect.).
I can assure you that the majority of my coworkers do not care about you to the extent that they enjoy all the knowledge that we gain about your life. We are just attempting to make your life a little easier . We are attempting to make your life a little safer. We are employed by you for you and are doing what the majority of you want us to do. We fall under the SAME LAWS that you fall under. Because we work for the agency under law we will not be exempt from those laws.
We attempt to have a normal life as you. We work hard for you as well. We chose this job and it takes us away from our family and friends just to attempt to give you a safet homeland. Our families have seen us miss birthdays, holidays and other family functions because we are scheduled to work that day doing the job that you require us to do seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our country has open borders because our constution and we the people want it that way.
In all the searches and arrests I have made I have not enjoyed those functions of the job and I do only what the laws permit me to do. I get NO enjoyment out of searching the human body, I do not like the task of looking through your vehicle or suitcases nor do I enjoy unloading a tractor trailor, a vessel, an aircraft ect in the freezing cold or the extreme heat. It is a job that you pay me for and give me laws to enforce to do just that, make you and your homeland as safe as I can.
No matter what country you enter or exit you have some sort of law that permits the searching of persons, effects and convayences and your control. So stop picking on the good guys. Stand behind them and understand what we are doing is for you the citizen of the USA and the guests that we let into our home. You all have rights and those rights are given to whoever is in the USA legal or illegal.
I have said my piece. If you have found it offensive I am sorry but enough is enough. Thank you for the time and this site which gives us the right to voice our views.
