Yes, Like I said, I'm only 90 mins away, and I can set you up with a Honda key that you can return via mail delivery if it will help.
Thanks for the offer. I'll be all right.
I think what I'll do is sign out one of the club Siren 19's.
Always wanted to do that. GEt back to basics.

Three pages in, and we STILL don't know what motor we're talking about. Or maybe I missed that. Still, it looks like he got a key at last.
Just for future reference though, if it's a Honda BF50A, then there's an awfully good chance it'll be one of those one-size-fits-all keys like this:
It's also known as Honda Part Number 35110-ZV5-003, and should run you about 12 bucks delivered. I got my spare on eBay, and keep it in the cabin with the spare bulbs and fuzzy handcuffs.

Or this:
I never realized it's just a suggestion of a 'key'.

Can you give us a source for the fuzzy handcuffs?

I have lost the key to my fuzzy handcuffs.
Its hard typing with one hand still attached to the bed post and one free for the keyboard, can anyone suggest a place to get a keyboard cable extender??

Fuzzy handcuffs don't hold up well in a marine environment. Just use the real thing.

Nahhh. You need 'em in Stainless. That carbon steel would rust up in no time. Who wants to walk around with rust bands on their wrists?

I guess that would be a salient piece of information, wouldn't it?
Yup. It's a BF50A. My key looks just like that.
The Admiral produced the spare I didn't know I had on the same day Honda told me my order was in.

It only goes to show, the Captain is always the last to know about such things. That's why she's an Admiral.

She's the Admiral because she knows you would lose it, so stowed the second away safely.
I took the key off my boat but left the key pad wired so that a perp will keep getting the engine start beep, but it won't start (kill switch hidden in cockpit)
