I know that certain grades of ali are very strong and anti corrosive. But where I live they are very hard to source and would cost more than SS316.... Ali would also look odd next to the SS stern rail seats I'm going to buy.

How did you source the Mac drawings, its hard to get bits over here in Australia, since Tattoo isnt doing much the Mac dealers have just about closed and when I rang one and asked for parts for my X I was met with laughter and he told me they hadnt kept X parts for years and didnt really have many spares for M's
